Expert discussions with Dr. Aric Prather

How can you retrain your sleep when you have insomnia?
Insomnia often improves when you stop trying to force sleep and start working with your body's own sleep drive. A fixed wake-up time, getting out of bed when you can't sleep, and a structured, temporary limit on time in bed are the core tools. They come from cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Strong clinical evidence applies to full CBT-I, not specifically to this seven-day self-help programme.
