Gary Taubes is an investigative science journalist and author who has written extensively on nutrition, obesity, and health policy. He holds degrees in Applied Physics from Harvard College, Engineering from Stanford, and Journalism from Columbia University, and is a three-time recipient of the National Association of Science Writers Science in Society Award. He co-founded the Nutrition Science Initiative (NuSI) and authored Good Calories, Bad Calories (2007) and Why We Get Fat (2010).
