His nutrition content sits outside his clinical specialty, and his channel carries heavy affiliate marketing.

Expert discussions with Dr. Tom Biernacki

Should I take calcium for my bones, or vitamin K2 and D3?
The simple answer: calcium and vitamin D are the established nutrients for bone health, and whether you need supplements depends on your diet, your vitamin D level and your medical history, with food-first calcium preferred. Vitamin K is also part of bone biology. It helps activate proteins involved in bone mineralization and in limiting unwanted calcification of blood vessels. But there is not yet strong evidence that adding extra K2 prevents fractures or heart disease in most people.
